So I want to come out and dedicate this post to one of my closest friends, and a guy i have great respect for: Mr. Jeremy Pappas.

During my adventure last weekend to the heart of dixie (alabama) i had a few discussions with this friend of mine, while very heated i see his points and i respect them, but i disagree with them strongly. you see my friend loves technology, loves the advancement of said technology, and sees it as the shining beacon of light for the human race. and i take the opposite view. and this is my reason why:

This is the Merriam-Webster definition of technology:

So with those in mind lets talk about the great technological advancement our world has seen in the past 50 years. You go to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and 50 years ago you saw traders with pen and paper in hand trading stocks, now in a few short years it will all be computerized. same can be said for the automotive industry (walk into a GM, Toyota, Ford plant and you will find 500-700 people MAX), it will soon be the film industry as well, and every other facet of life as we know it. but if a computer, or a robot does all these jobs for us, then what are we to do? sit by and earn no income and see the world economy tank.....again? only a few companies are leading this charge, apple, microsoft, cisco, and others are all moving towards this idea, while they depend on the human MIND to figure it out, and once it's done there is no need for that mind any more. it's leading to a wild amount of tax payer dollars being spent on math and science education while once again english, history, and the arts are shit on and slashed from school curriculum. so is it fair to invest all that money into one field, that will ultimately take away more than it gives? i dont think it does. but thats just me.

and what about our natural resources?

This dear readers is a motherboard of a computer. you see all that shiny shit on that thing? you know what that is? thats gold, silver, titanium, lithium, platinum, copper, and many other precious metals that are natural resources. so think the average computer has about a half a pound of all that shit in it. so times that by however many dvd players, blueray players, xbox, playstations, computers, ipads, iphones, cell phones, ipods, and all that other junk that is made every year, and then think about how many of our natural resources are used on those things. pretty big number right? so here we are again, the humans taking more than they need from the earth, no big surprise to me its what we have always done. and now its leading to a disaster of epic proportions. mining for these metals is becoming increasingly more difficult and dangerous. thousands die each year in mining disasters abroad for these metals, thousands hell even millions become sick from the toxic shit that leaks out of this technology into our earth causing cancers, mutations, and all other funky things to happen to our bodies and the bodies of millions. the environmental impact of technological advancement is becoming a HUGE problem very very quickly ladies and jointlemen. and not even technology can stop mother nature and mother earth from doing what they want to do. 

which brings me to my next point:

This is the EARTH at night. check out europe, china, india, and of course the largest consumer of power in the world the united states. this is a beautiful image and really puts in perspective how minuscule our little green and blue planet actually is. but think if all those lights went out. what would happen? and how does it happen? well lucky for you you read my blog and im one smart mother fucker.

well now a days we cant even imagine a world without electricity. but somehow, the people who roamed this earth wayyyy before we did lived without it. somehow they made it all those hundreds of thousands of years without that image above being the remotest of possibilities. and for that, we are now all here. incredible right? but did you know that a tornado, or hurricane, or earthquake, or any other natural disaster has teh power to absolutely disembowel all of those lights without even the remotest help of technology? i do. so what happens in a few years when the NYSE opens for trading on wall street one day with no traders with actual hard copy documents of financial records and such, and lets say a hurricane 9which is highly possible in that area of the world) shuts the power down at that place, and rolling blackouts hit the east coast like they did in the late 2000's? what happens then? well guess what that shit dies and trading stops and markets tank, causing a huge depression. or what about this hypothetical that is much more likely to happen:

So america's infrastructure (our roads, bridges, dams, internet access etc.) is crumbling, and has been since about the 1960's. even though it is the basis of all other grids in the world, its now become dangerously inefficient. and our power grid has become a complete failure, that same power grid is the grid that supplies power to ever last one of us, and to every last one of our stupid electronic, technologically advanced systems that we have become so dependent on. imagine, cell phone towers inactive, tv's not turning on (and god forbid we have to actually READ our news!!!), computers defunct, NYSE useless as stocks in over seas markets tumble to unprecedented lows causing a world wide chain reaction leading to the greatest economic depression in history that rocks the foundation of society to the ground. now to many people that seems ridiculous and a totally abnormal thought pattern. but because our energy grid has become such a joke, and our demand for power has risen so steadily that the grid can't keep up, its not a forgone reality. it will happen folks. so let me put it this way, im for the advancement of our technology to help us humans live SUSTAINABLE ( my favorite word) lives, and create a sustainable world, where fantasy becomes reality, where clutter become organized information, and where we live harmoniously with it. but the facts remain that our infrastructure can NOT handle the kind of pressure we are putting on it. the more technology we invent and the more technology we advance the heavier the load our grid has to place on its back. and folks it can't handle it, just can't. we don't even have the money to fund our schools any more no less to totally rework our infrastructure to fit and live harmoniously with our advancements in technology and innovation. technology can benefit us all in ways we could never imagine, and for that i am grateful but i am not grateful for the horrid environmental impact, economic impact, and social impact it will have on the human race. technology will run it's course but in the end two things will bring it to it's knees, mother nature and human consumption and when that day comes, technological advancement will cease to exist, just like every other thing in this world, mother nature ahs the last word folks, not humans, not chickens, not the grateful dead, and sure as hell not technology.

Birthers: ok these people are just wayyyyyy to out there for me. no honestly think for a minute. barack obama ran for the democratic nomination in 2007-2008 against hillary clinton, the wife of a former president. if there was anybody out there who was going to find out this guys wasn't born in america it was the clinton's so shut up, and show me your birth certificate, because it's hard for me to believe you were actually born here

Michele Bachman (R-MN): This is michele bachman, and this past weekend god told her that gay marriage is immoral and wrong. so do you really want somebody who says they hear god talk to them running your country or even representing a congressional district? didn't think so.

Teabaggers: look at these idiots. if you saw a regular person, say a guy that works at the bank or some average job, but instead of wearing normal clothes he wore this, all the time. followed by his oxygen tank, and his birther sign. these people are just ridiculous, they have no organization skill, just the only thing they know is they hate the president, and not because of any policy decisions, its because hes black, and folks trust me that the reason why. these people hate the idea of a black guys as their president, its that simply, and they can say what they want but its true.

These people: these people are my proof that the human race as reached its peak and is now on a complete decline. the fact that anybody gave these people a tv show and whatever else amazes me. their gelled hair, stupid spray tans, unbearable accents, shitty unproductive lifestyle, and their overall being drives me up the wall. they have won my award for WORST PEOPLE ALIVE TODAY.

DEA: this is a whole agency that is a complete waste of our money and of course a complete group of the biggest ass hats on the planet. i saw quite a few of the ADEA at the oak mountain concert for widespread panic, one friend of mine said he saw them have a girl who could not have been much older than 19 face down, bloodied, and bruised in handcuffs, crying and asking "Why are you doing this to me?" they proceeded to take away two joints from her and throw her ass in the back of the paddy wagon, and no that girls is probably going to face a felony and have it for the rest of her life. and int he whole process we the tax payer have to pick up her and others jail tab. we pay to feed them, we pay to house them, we pay for the abuses they will endure, and we will pay for her prosecution, all because this little spreadhead girl wanted to light up a joint or two and enjoy good music, times and people. so these people get the award of: CRUELEST ASSHATS EVER.

And with that I want to segway into something that is long over due to be talked about on this blog.

DRUGS DRUGS DRUGS DRUGS DRUGS DRUGS DRUGS

Yes dear readers lets talk about drugs. so for years i have supported marijuana legalization, the 100% legalization. as in not just medical pot, im talking full blown legal. but for years i also supported easing the rules on pot, and enforcing stricter laws on cracking down on cocaine, meth, herion, and other hardcore drugs. but in the past year or s that has changed for me. not because i enjoy doing those drugs but because how do you tell somebody what they can do and put into their own body? you cant its against all laws of nature. so now i believe the united states should legalize ALL drugs. if you want to go trip acid on the street corner, go ahead, want to shoot up at the local park (away from children) then go ahead, want to smoke a joint at the local jazz club with a cup of coffee go ahead, i dont care and you shouldn't either. since the great recession of 2008 ever industry is falling fast, houses, banking, everything. except for a few. Anheuser-Busch, Miller, Coors, Jack Daniels, Altria (owners of Marlboro), RJ Reynolds (owners of Camel), have all seen profits soar. sales are up, alcohol, and tobacco sales are sky rocketing, but so is the "illegal" drug market along with the prescription drug market. more drugs are imported illegally now than ever before. more people are smoking than we have seen in recent years, more people are drinking more, and theres only one reason why. because everybody has to escape from the on coming shit storm that is this world we live in. we all know if your blitzed, stoned, drunk, drugged up, drugged down, or whatever else you simply don't give a shit what happens, your passive, and to the people in control they can't stand that idea of you not caring about jack shit.  and so comes the bullshit laws that surround all these drugs. you will never convince me that a hit of acid, a joint of pot, a bag of mushroom or even a bag of cocaine is as detrimental to a person as a Xanax, percicet, adivan, or any of those other prescription drugs. the prescription drugs make us care, they do the reverse of the good drugs, they make us focus, and care more about everything, and it tricks us into doing what our masters demand of us. its time we take down the glaxo-smith kleins of the world and allow a truly "free" society to cure their own ailments with their own choice of drugs, and not be forced to buy them from some evil multi-national. but thats just me

So if you are like one of millions of americans that simply ignores important information such as this, im glad your reading today. Because if you dont know why this is important than you certainly need to read this blog more. So consider this: The Paul  Ryan (R-WI) Budget Plan for the republitards, asks for 4.5 trillion in cuts over the next 10 years, inside that budget is massive cuts to pell grants (which i received, you received, president obama received, and millions of others received to be able to afford college), turns medicare/medicaid into a voucher program (gives sick, poor, and elderly 15,000 dollars each to go out and buy health care from an insurance company, which does nothing to solve the problem of rising health care costs), calls for the Environmental Protection Agency to have its funding slashed and burned (basically they want to end the clean air and water part of the EPA, because you know who wants clean air and water?), but for all those massive cuts it also gives MASSIVE, larger than life, larger than the bush-era tax cuts, to teh wealthiest of americans once again, and this tax cut ultimately will cost the rest of us (middle class, poor and so on) and estimated 1.5 trillion dollars to help fund these tax cuts for the ubuer wealthy again, and guess what? it also calls for an increase of the defense budget by 5 billion per year. The obama plan he rolled out yesterday? calls for tax hikes on the wealthiest of americans (that 1% i keep talking about), which is something that a recent usa today/gallup poll found that 81% of americans agree should happen (you couldn't get 81 percent of americans to agree its thursday no less on a political issue), and calls for a massive slashing (nearly half) of the defense budget, with a total of 4 trillion dollars being cut over 12 years. so which plan sounds like it was more steered towards the general populace and middle class americans? if you answered ryans budget plan, then im going to ask yo to never come back onto my blog, and just go ahead and get on your yacht or private jet and never come back, because i don't wnat your crooked fucked up head anywhere near my intellectual property, thanks.

Fuckin radical muslims man, let me tell you something, if there is a more draconian religion in this world with this much sway and power, i would like to know what it is, because this shit is out of control. sick of these people to no end. and ya know i wouldn't have a problem with them if the moderate muslims out there (which i know for a fact greatly out number the radicals) actually stood up and said we don't support this, we don't agree with this, and we don't condone these actions in any sense whatsoever, but you know what? they don't do that and there for the radicals keep on winning. so fuck em, if i ever met a radical muslim i would be half entitled to interrogate the shit out that fucker. i can't stand anybody who treats women like scum, purposefully murders mentally and physically handicapped children because they are "satan's children," and thinks that blowing up buildings and cars with roadside bombs is normal civil behavior. these people are trapped in a draconian religion that enforces these ideals, and these people just add fuel to the fire. im sick of it, and im just as sick of them as i am these people:

An autographed copy? i must have it!! this book here is the greatest fairy tale ever written folks. one day when i have children i will read passages from it the same way my mom read jack and the bean stalk to me before bed growing up. now to that, thomas jefferson sat down with a king james bible once and cut out everything except for the words of christ himself, and published it as the "Jefferson Bible." i have read this version of the bible numerous times, and i buy it. the message is clear, help those in need, do unto others as you would yourself, prescribe to charity and honesty for the betterment of yourself and the world. now thats something i can rally around, but you know what i cant rally around? people who use those words and twist them into their own sick meaning to fight against gay marriage, abortion, and every other social issue that is brought into the political conversation in this country. the christian conservatives are highly motivated people. and they are winning there fight against abortion, gay marriage, and countless other issues, while we all sit around and do nothing to combat it. go to your local abortion clinic any time of the day and you will see these people:

Now as i said before radical muslims piss me off the same as these people, and you might think these people are just peaceful protesters for pro-life campaigns, but there not. remember that doctor in kansas that anti-abortion people gunned down as he left his office one night? yeah thats not peaceful and that sure as flying fiddle fucks doesn't sound like a very christian thing to do now does it? didn't think so. these people are no different in my eyes than those in the middle east who a radicalized by their own religious indoctrination. im sick of christian conservatives bringing their religious bullshit into the national discussion at every opportunity. and they have don it again. the tea baggers are the prime example. they all got together in 2010 and rallied around the idea of small government, lower taxes, fix teh economy, bring jobs back to america, and once thats fixed, they said they would leave (because they believe in term limits), and they wanted the states to gain their rights back. and now a year later the true colors are shining on capital hill and inside the beltway (aka the dome of no coherence). now they want to get rid of planned parenthood (my mom found out she was pregnant with me from planned parenthood), but glenn beck says only hookers use planned parenthood, michelle bachman (congresswomen of minniesota) says planed parenthood is the "Lenscrafters" of abortion, and gay marriage is a complete violation of everything holy in this world. so they want to get rid of planned parenthood (because lets be honest who really wants to plan parenthood right?) and they want to give civil rights to all americans, unless of course they are gay then you can go fuck yourself until you find jesus. is that sounding like small government to you? see to these people small government entails hwo much the government spends, and how many people actually work for the government. it has nothing to do with how much interference the government has in your life. they say we are pro-abortion, well nobody is pro-abortion, thats a stupid term used by ignorant people, we are pro-choice, your life your choice, i as a white male do NOT think i have any say in what a woman does to her own body, but to these people life no longer begins at conception, it begins at erection.  and im tired of it. they are nothing but liars, cheats, and crooks who swindled their way into congress under this veil of the party of "small government" and less spending. and now they are showing who they really are, the same old christian conservative right wing that they have always been, and i think its time everybody takes a stand on this bullshit and tells these people to keep their religious ideology out of our political discussions. if you want to worship i have no right to tell you otherwise, thats great so glad you have faith, same for the muslims, and jews, and whoever else believes in that stuff, but don't shove it down our throat to no end, and then claim your just defending the sanctity of life and marriage, i can see through your lies the question is can YOU?

Human Nature and Right Wing Economics: The Ultimate Farce

So back in the 1980's a professor at the University of Chicago, by the name of milton friedman

Proposed a new, revolutionary idea that has since been revered as the greatest economic principle to ever be conceived since adam smith invented and made up capitalism. friedman, a long time supporter of the basic model of Keynesian economics, which involves government intervention in the wake of depressions, recessions and so on, but in the 1950's he changed his mind and veered right to monetarism, which is the idea that governments role int he economy is to control the rate of inflation by controlling the amount of money in circulation.  Now in the 1980's friedman was brought on to be president ronald mcdonald (aka reagan) economic advisor. friedman advocated this idea he had, and helped ronald mcdonald mold a new national economic policy known to them as supply side economics, reaganomics, voodoo economics, trickle down economics, and as i call it the table scrap economics. so whatever word you so please to use go ahead but from here on it will be table scrap on this blog. but this plan was laid out with the help of friedman, and reagens other baboon, william a. niskanen. they laid out this idea on national television, explaining how it would work and what it would do and so heres how the theory goes:

If you:

Reduce government spending

reduce income tax and capital gains tax

reduce government regulation

and control the money supply to reduce inflation

This will happen:

Everybody will become uber rich, and benefit from allowing the "free market" to reign supreme. The main component here is a having a very very high faith in the human race. and i say this because the idea behind this economic principle is that if you give tax cuts to the rich, and corporate america they will take the money they saved on these tax cuts and incentives and re-invest it into the economy and slowly (like a trickle) that money will find it's way to the middle class and the lower class thus bringing everybody into the melting pot that is the free market. now on paper, this is a WONDERFUL idea. trust me it is. think about it, it makes 100% sense, and nobody, not even I and the rest of the left wing can disagree with that. but the basis here is that all humans believe in kindness and charity, and are not greedy beings. so not only is this economic principle making sense it is capturing and harnessing the thing, that we all believe, makes us better than all other creatures of  the world, our sense of being and our attachment to each other. but unfortunately that is not the case here. and anybody who was alive from the start of the industrial revolution will tell you that is not the case. and this man right here knew that better than most:

This is my personal favorite author, aside from twain, and a my hero. Mr. Upton Sinclair. In 1906 at the peak of the industrial revolution he went to a chicago meat packing plant and saw child laborers working wild amounts of hours, he saw massive amounts of rats, feces, and even human body parts grinned into the meat that was being packaged. and the reason why? the free market was allowed to reign free without any government regulation and oversight. sinclair's novel "The Jungle," wrote of these horrors and by the time it reached the president, mr. teddy, the whole system would change forever as we knew it. new regulations for cleaner, safer food, child labor laws were put in place, plant safety measures were ordered, monopolies were busted up, and we saw not only economic growth until the depression, we saw a safer, cleaner, better america. so fast forward to the 1980's. once again we are letting the free market reign supreme, and putting faith in our corporations and the rich to take care of us on the lower end of the class pole, not the government which of coarse would be ridiculous considering Article 1 Section 8 of our own Constitution says:

“The Congress shall have the Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States. . .”

But no we want our general welfare to be in the hands of corporate america. And so it went that the national deficit shrank from 6% of the GDP to 2.9% of the GDP in reagans last budget. And remarkably it worked. or so it seemed. so while the deficit decreased, the people on the bottom and in the middle got poorer and poorer and the rich got richer and richer bought such exotic things as:

So in the process of this new economic theory, these rich people bought these types of items, fueled the economy by buying big ticket items, and did they ever ask mr and mrs smith of 1 main street if they wanted a ride on this yacht or private jet, or if they might want a watch for christmas, or anything like that? HELL THE FUCK NO!!! did these rich people at the top ask us if we wanted any charity? did THEY promote the general welfare of the people? NO. And now, nearly 30 years after this policy was put in place (with a brief disruption during the clinton years) the right wing is still championing this idea of tax cuts for the wealthy, and corporate america and taking away and shitting on the idea of promoting the general welfare of all people im over it folks and you should be too.

I just saw where el presidente announced his plan to tackle the deficit. 4 trillion is massive but he stood up and said hands off health care aka medicaid and medicare. didnt touch social security and demanded for half of the defense budget to be slashed, along with returning tax levels to pre-Bush era taxes. all of that should combine for a fairly good chunk of the deficit to be removed, but to that there is nothing about corporate taxes. which until that is fixed we will still suffer. but obama is asking for tax HIKES, which to me is what should have been done a long long time ago. know why i ask for higher taxes? because hes not going to raise middle class taxes to outrageous levels. idiots on the right wing will tell you everybody's taxes are going through the roof, everybody rally against it. and guess what, hes only really raising taxes on the wealthy members of our society, warren buffett, the ford family, the koch brothers (who will now be known on this blog as the kock brothers), and all these other magnificently wealthy people who can afford to pay some extra taxes. he wants to ring in the massive amounts of tax brackets we have and bring them back down to 5 brackets the way clinton had it. even if the right wing argues this they cant argue the fact that clinton era taxes and budgets were spectacular. and when they threatened to shut down the government in the 90's clinton said go ahead shut it down, but i wont take the blame, and he didnt, and the american people knew who to blame, the right wing, and they rewarded clinton greatly with a second term. im so sick of this right wing bullshit, they never want to focus on helping the middle class, the poor, the sick, the elderly, the children, nobody except big business and their corporate masters. and then they come on and ask for an INCREASE in defense spending btu cut medicare and medicaide, wan tto rid the country of pell grants, and they want to take an ax to our infrastructure which is already falling to shit. its always an attack on the middle class and they glaze it over with that all to familiar term "tax cuts." well guess what those tax cuts aint shit but for rich people, aka the people that control the beltway. if you have any sense what so ever, you will call your senators, congressmen and women, and anybody else and tell them the Paul Ryan budget plan does nothing for america except for the wealthy and does nothing for us 99ers who will once again get shit on and fucked in the ass by the big red dildo that is the right wing

Rights or as I call them Privileges

Every year now, for about the past 100 years our rights as americans have seen those rights diminish, slowly but surely they have eroded away with no anger from the populace. we have lost our rights, and now they can be branded as privileges. if you have rights that can be taken away they are now privileges folks not rights. and i just want to go ahead and post the most important of all rights that we have:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."


That my dear readers is the first amendment. it has been what has made us the greatest country in the world. no establishment of religion, no prohibiting the exercise of any religion, no taking away the right to free speech and the one i want to comment on today is the right of the people to peaceably assemble and petition the government for a redress of grievances. today in washington d.c. this happened: Credit to Jessica Gresko of the Huffington Post

"The budget deal lawmakers struck to avoid a government shutdown was greeted by some with relief, but it has one city already reeling: the capital itself.

City officials say Washington was used as a pawn in last week's budget bargaining, with new restrictions part of the price of a deal.

Angry that Congress appears ready to take away autonomy granted to the city in the last several years, Mayor Vincent Gray and six Council members including the chairman were among 41 people arrested Monday outside the Capitol while protesting the changes that might be inevitable. Seven hours later, they were released from jail.

"We needed to make a statement," Gray said after his release.

He said protesters' shoelaces, ties and belts were removed while they were in jail. The district restrictions that were part of the budget deal reached Friday were "completely unacceptable," Gray said.

The city will likely be unable to spend its own tax dollars on abortions for low-income women. It may also be banned from spending city money on needle exchange programs believed vital to curbing the spread of HIV in the district, where the disease is considered an epidemic. Also back: a school voucher program favored by Republicans.

The news is considered a setback for a city that is unique in that it has a city government but its budget and laws are overseen by Congress. It had enjoyed more freedom in the past four years when both the House and Senate were controlled by Democrats, the party traditionally more friendly to pleas of autonomy from the heavily Democratic city.

When Republicans took control of the House in January, the city readied for changes. Still, city leaders said they are outraged that Washington appears to have been used as a bargaining chip.

"If this isn't taxation without representation, I don't know what is," the mayor said before being arrested."

Now mayor gray was actually arrested for blocking traffic in the street and not protesting outside the capitol so don't let that fool you. But i still have a problem with this. who cares if your protesting in the street? or on a babies face or on a cross i dont give a shit, it's suppose to be your right to peaceably assemble anywhere. but at colleges around the nation there are "free speech zones" designated areas on campus that you are allowed to express your first amendment right, at PUBLIC FEDERALLY FUNDED UNIVERSITIES. sorry folks but if thats the case that first amendment RIGHT has now become the first amendment privilege. and you know what yes the people in washington and on wall street are to blame, but more than anybody its we the people to blame for this shit happening. while we watched our rights erode away, we moved to the suburbs, bought massive gas sucking cars, tuned into fascist glenn beck, bought macky d's to stuff into our fat children face, bought the newest big screen tv, and started buying snuggies, and didn't do a fucking thing to secure our rights as a people, and we just let them go away. how the fuck do you justify this? people across the country should be in the streets demanding their rights back, not rallying for cuts to planned parenthood, ending abortions, and all that other unnecessary bullshit. we should join people like mayor gray of washington and stand for what we are entitled to. jefferson said these were inalienable rights, basically rights that were naturally given to mankind, given to humankind as we know it. and now they are simply gone, never to be seen again. its sickening, and most of all its a sign that our country, the once proud nation of hard workers, proud people, the forever underdog who defeated (at the time) the greatest imperial power the world had ever seen and we stood up for our rights not just as americans, but as humans. and now it's gone. our country has reached its twilight, its over for us folks, we are done, our once great nation is now a nation of ignorance, hatred, and plain old fashioned pussies. im sick of it, and if this country keeps it up, i pain to say it, i would have to leave a place that i love, and have forever stood up for. this is the twilight ladies and gentlemen, and if we don't do something soon and im not talking as in a generation, im talking in the next year or two, the only right your going to have is the same rights those japanese americans had in the 1940's, and you can take that shit to the mother fucking bank!!!
